Key Stage I

KEY STAGE I (KS1) ASSEMBLIES and SINGLE OR PAIRED READING SCRIPTS

KEY STAGE I (KS1) ASSEMBLIES as a collection is smaller than the KEY STAGE II (KS2) collection. I am  adding on all the time and have recently completed the following series in the History section of KSI Assemblies:

KEY STAGE I (KS1) ASSEMBLIES based on the lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements, comparing aspects of life in different periods. This list of ‘greats’ includes:

  • Monarchs – Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria
  • Explorers – Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong
  • Inventors – William Caxton and Tim Berners-Lee
  • Painters – Pieter Bruegel the Elder and LS Lowry
  • Women:

(i) In Civil Rights – Rosa Parks and Emily Davison

(ii) Nurses – Mary Seacole and/or Florence Nightingale and Edith Cavell

Choosing these individuals has been obviously driven by National Curriculum ‘suggestions’. I do write on alternative individuals, as per my ‘write on request’ service – so please drop me a line on sue@oldsite.plays-r-ussell.com if you need a script that has not yet been written! I’ve received great feedback on those I’ve written so far – check out the latest (26.1.17) on Plants Assembly.
