Drama Club resources

Drama Club resources

Drama Club resources section has resources which could be used in Drama Clubs and include:

  1. All my Shakespeare scripts – straight and alternative. These include Midsummer Nights Dream, Macbeth and an alternative version of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet IN LOVE … or were they?!
  2. Non-curricular scripts like Dinosaurs Rock, Rock Star (based on Hannah Montana), PRIDE (based on sport. This script can be easily adapted from its original format, which is based on basketball, to deal with any other sport), Jawesome Jury, ….

The above are available for large casts (around 30) – see Assemblies, or small groups – see Guided Reading Play Scripts.

If anyone has something specific they would like a play written on, let me know and I will do my best to deliver!

We recently received the following:

My name is Carey Davis and I volunteer as a drama teacher to a group of students. We are currently preparing for our production of Alice in Wonderland and have been researching websites about acting, dancing, productions, plays, etc. and we came across your page https://www.plays-r-ussell.com/product-category/my-school-play-scripts/plays-school-children/key-stage-11/drama-club-resources/ and wanted to say thank you for the great information you shared!

After showing the class your website, I challenged them with finding an article that would be useful for our production as well as for your site and visitors. One of my girls, Sophie, found a really interesting article about eyeliner makeup tips and after a class vote, we chose to share her article with you. Since makeup plays such a large role in productions, we thought it was really great!

Here is the article Sophie found: https://www.bhcosmetics.com/pages/eyeliner-makeup-tips-for-beginners

Thank you very much, Sophie (and teacher). We starting a whole new page of external links to support school drama we will let you know when it is done.
