Escape to Christmas Class Play
Escape to Christmas Class Play. Have you ever pondered the meaning of the expression ‘the grass is always greener on the other side’ … even when it’s covered in the snow?! Well, Christmas is as good a time as any to find out – as do our cast of eight zoo animals with a little help (albeit unintentionally) from their eight elf counterparts. Enjoy!
The cast of 16 – is easily increased by the addition of extra elves
Duration – around 20 minutes
Lion: I guess we could find some common ground.
Tiger: Maybe we could work together.
Giraffe: You’re having a giraffe? I mean, a laugh?
Polar Bear: Exactly! You needn’t think I’m dressing up in some silly costume!
Hippopotamus: Prancing around in tights! The very thought!
Seal: You can count me out!
Parrot: I’m not about to jingle on one leg .. or even two!
Monkey: (Thoughtfully) Oh, I don’t know! I’ve always rather fancied the idea of dressing up, fooling around.
(To Hippopotamus) And you know what? I think you’d look rather good in tights!
(To Polar Bear) And as for you? I thought Baloo looked rather good in that tutu.
(To all the animals) And we all know how to party, right?
Lion: (Growling irritably) So, what are you suggesting?
