Father’s Day Assembly
Father’s Day Assembly explores the meaning of the father-child relationship in an accessible format for Key Stage 2 pupils. With a cast size of 30 – easily adjustable up or down.
Duration: Around 5 to 10 minutes – but this can easily be doubled by adding pictures the children have drawn/painted (to illustrate father’s being described e.g. father driving a train); and by the addition of poetry.

Narrator: Good morning and welcome to our Father’s Day Assembly.
Child 1: We will start with a question.
Child 2: What makes the perfect dad?
Child 3: Someone who is kind
Child 4: Someone who has time for me
Child 5: Someone who is patient
Child 6: Someone who will help me with my homework
Child 7: Someone who understands me
Child 8: Someone who will listen to me
Child 9: Someone who is there for me
Child 10: Someone I can trust
Child 11: Someone who cares for me
Child 12: Someone who loves me
