Fruit Assembly Key Stage One Sample Text:

Narrator:         (To Zucchini) Ooh! Very exotic! (Pauses) So, let’s take a look at these different fruits, one at a time.

(Narrator turns to Child 3 – 5)

And then I want you children to decide which fruit you would have as your ‘Top Pick!

Apple:             You should choose me! Juicy and ripe!

Apricot:           No, me! Sweet and succulent!

Banana:          Nah! Bananas have it! Monkeys can’t all be wrong!

Blackcurrant:  No! Blackcurrants are the best. Think Ribena!

Cherry:            Or Cherries – perfect in the summer!

Coconut:         Coconuts have it all. You can use the shell

(Demonstrates clip clopping sound of two halves knocked together)

Or eat the inside – or even drink the milk!

Narrator:         Wow! That is one versatile fruit!

Date:               (Flirtatiously) Nah. Come for a date with me! You’ll find me sweeter than all this lot put together!
