Reflections on Lockdown
I have written this specifically for Year 6s returning to school – doubtless feeling all sorts of emotions, not least confusion and fear.
Talking through what we have experienced since the beginning of this year will of course be paramount at schools. And I hope this script will go some way towards addressing the need for explanation and reassurance.
It gives a brief summary of events plus reflections.
My hope is that it will help broach a very difficult subject and at the very least provide the means to enable children to talk freely about their experiences – the sharing process perhaps being the best form of healing in this period of trying to make sense of what has happened to date.
