Description
12 Week Literacy Timetable script suggestions are all taken from the Guided Reading/Readers Theatre collection off www.plays-r-ussell.com – all of which I have reduced in price by a half. They are sets of 5 scripts (1 a day) with a cast of 6 (speakers can, of course, be doubled up for whatever number is needed) plus a quiz to follow. You can, of course, do these in a different order or choose different scripts – there are a couple of other scripts (Wind in the Willows and Wizard of Oz) to choose from.
The idea of these scripts is to deliver information in a fun way – via role-play/plenty of lively banter. I have found this to be a very effective way of ‘teaching by default’ and I hope both teachers and parents alike enjoy these resources at home or at school.
