Description
Let’s Be Healthy Assembly Key Stage I
Let’s Be Healthy Assembly Key Stage I assembly or class play is the last in a series of scripts written for Key Stage I to promote good health. It covers personal hygiene, care of our teeth; outlines a balanced diet and goes into the benefits of exercise – covering a number of different sports (these can, of course, be swapped with children’s own choices)
Cast
Cast of 30 – number can be easily adapted up or down
Narrator (this should be Class Teacher)
Plus
Child 1 – 29
Duration: Around 10 minutes not including music suggestions
To extend this performance, material could be taken from two other assemblies – Fruit Assembly and Vegetable Assembly i.e. listing fruits and vegetables.
Likewise, with exercise, each child could explain why they love that particular sport – and sports in the text can, of course, be replaced by sports of children’s own choice.
