St. David’s Day Poem
St. David’s Day Poem is just a quick ‘offering’ for St. David’s Day! Aware that some of the ‘scanning’ is a little questionable, but it wasn’t written to compete with Dylan Thomas!
Also available for St. David’s Day:
A Welsh Assembly – in celebration of St. Davids Day – cast of 30, including Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones and some great Tommy Cooper jokes to say nothing of …. The Ying Tong Song?!; and a 6 speaker play. See Assemblies – Geography (£11.99)
&
6 Speaker Play for St. David’s Day – in Featured Scripts section (£4.99)
St. David’s Day Poem
Chorus:
Leeks, daffodils,
Rugby and sheep.
Wales has it all,
With memories to keep.
Maybe it’s the mountains
Maybe it’s the rain
Whatever it is
Let us not refrain
From singing its praises
From Mt. Snowdon’s top.
You can take a train up
But it’s a bit of a drop!
Thanks to everyone
Who’s made Wales what it is.
Including those invaders
Who caused such a ‘tiz’!
For without those men
Castles would be fewer today
And where would tourists go?
.. Just imagine the dismay!
Leeks, daffodils,
Rugby and sheep.
Wales has it all,
With memories to keep.
But it’s not just castles
That makes Wales so great.
It’s not just those mountains
No, it’s much more – just wait
